LBGQ Gay Lesbian Community of Rochester MinnesotaTime and time again visitors from around the world converge on Rochester, Minnesota for different reasons. I've met many people from all walks of life and I thoroughly enjoy it. I'm constantly asked by different people, what is there to do in Rochester, Mn?, do you have (blank)? etc; Most times the questions are built around a person's beliefs, lifestyles, and or hobbies. Most people would like to enjoy the same things, groups, or fun that they have at home here in Rochester. So I've decided to offer information about a great group in Rochester that visitors might take an interest in.

GLCS (Gay Lesbian Community Services of Southeast Minnesota ) is a very fun, openly gay, and interesting group that includes activities that span throughout the calendar months of the year. They offer happy hour get-together socials (I will have their contact information available below - For time, locations, hours of meetups), political rally's and also have a sense of togetherness and a lot of other interesting activates to do. GLCS mission statement states as follows:

GLCS is a volunteer service organization. Gay Lesbian Community Services provides GLBTA related educational, informational, and social resources to the region of SE Minnesota. We provided social resources to the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender communities, their families, friends, and any interested persons. 

GLCS is a very welcoming group that can offer fun, resources and things to do for those that are visiting Rochester, Minnesota and locals alike. For more information:

A Short tale form a local Rochester cab driver... "I was with a passenger and he had with him a tour book of Rochester, Minnesota. he mentioned to me that he wanted to tour the city and enjoy some of Rochester's more historic places. Now when you come to Rochester Minnesota, if you ask the locals "what's there to do in Rochester?". Most people will start laughing and their minds will begin to draw a blank. The same thing happened to me, the customer asked me that very question. He said, "never mind don't worry I have a tour book of places I want to see". So we went to the famous Mayowood Mansion, Silver Lake, and a few other local area sights. Then last we finally arrived at Assisi Heights.
